Offered for sale is this truly wonderful Ducati 888 Corse

Originally owned by Steve Wynn of Sports Motorcycles of Manchester who was well known for preparing the great Mike Hailwood come back machine. This bike was offered up as a spare or number 2 bike for Carl Fogarty in 1992 which would be his last season as a privateer before becoming a full factory rider for Ducati in 93.

Famously Carl won at Donnington and following a blow up on Saturday it is believed he did it using a combination of this bike and his own 888

Following this the bike was prepped for Carl to use at the 1992 TT but at the last minute he swapped to the Loctite Yamaha and went on to have the famous battle with Hislop on the Norton and so the relationship with Steve ended

The bike then went to Peter Graves who ran it successfully for a couple of seasons in BSB

Fully restored by us here at Lusso Veloce with and engine built from the crank up by Ducati John the bike wants for nothing as is literally as new having only been run on the stand

We have a verification letter from one of the mechanics working for Steve Wynn at the time

There is also an article on our news page showing some details of the restoration
