Bimota YB1

The ultra-rare YB1 offered here is one of 12 that raced in the World Championships, achieving 9th place in the 1975 250cc championship in the hands of Swiss ace, Bruno Kneubuhler. The machine was treated to a complete 'ground upwards' restoration in 2009/2010, and following completion had one outing at the Salzburgring. Since then it has formed part of the owner's private collection of racing motorcycles. Pietsch electronic ignition is the only notified deviation from factory specification

1996 Ducati 955 Corse

Purchased new from Sports motorcycles and then ridden in British Superbikes by Peter Graves

This is a well known race bike in the UK as Peter was a very successful racer, in 96 he finished 10th overall in BSB championship and then in 98 with the introduction of the privateer cup he finished 2nd

in 1997 it was converted by John Hackett (JHP) to 996cc with 60mm throttle bodies big air box, big radiator and big exhaust system and in 98 the engine was built by Chris Mehew. it is currently in good order and runs really well

(unfortunately following a crash this bike was re-framed with a new Pierobon frame so before you ask, No it doesn’t have a number. I understand the old frame was damaged beyond repair

Peter recently visited us at the showroom and verified the bike and signed the tank so there is no question of this bikes authenticity

Also included is a folder of race results and set up sheets from the time peter was racing
